So, I’ve been hearing about this whole situation with Cynthia McKinney, a member of congress who is apparently too stupid to care about security and policy. After assaulting a police officer because she refused to wear her ID, all we hear from her is “racism” and “civil rights violation”. I hear from the capitol hill police department that the officers did their jobs correctly. I also note that most of her political “friends” are keeping their distance. Those who have been interviewing her are not happy because she will not answer any questions about the incident; indeed, she is going out of her way to make stupid political statements that are not relevant to the situation.
The one group of people I haven’t heard anything from is her constituents. If there has been any coverage of the people who actually elected her, it had to have been buried. If I was a voter in her district, I would be questioning 1) her sanity, 2) her arrogance, and 3) her apparent lack of respect for rules, policy, and authority. Just because she is a member of congress does not make her lord of the dungheap. Those who voted for her should remember her actions as reprehensible and vote her out of office in November.
Of course, should that happen, it would be racist, bigoted and otherwise hate-mongering conservatives who ran illegal and immoral campaigns and smeared her name and assassinated her character.
